ARTIST THOUGHT
I Am Om is an exploration of the journey inward—the quiet movement beyond the visible self, toward the deeper essence within.
The meditative figure, with closed eyes and a serene expression, represents turning away from the noise of the external world and becoming present within. Surrounding her are concentric circles, suggesting waves of energy, thought, and consciousness expanding and contracting in an endless rhythm. At the centre of this inward journey is ॐ (Om)—the primordial vibration, a symbol of universal consciousness and the connection between the individual self and the greater existence.
The repeated Om motifs woven into the layers suggest that this vibration is always present—sometimes beneath the surface, waiting to be heard in stillnes, while the touches of gold represent inner light, awareness, and moments of awakening.
The work reflects a simple yet profound realization: the happiness and peace we seek outside ourselves already reside within. When we turn inward, we begin to remember who we truly are.
So, who am I?
I am not merely the face, the body, or the identity I carry.
I am the soul within.
I am the stillness. I am the awareness. I am the joy.
I Am Om.
